I absolutely love listening to music with lyrics when I practice - lyrics give me something to focus on rather than listening to my own brain chatter. I'm especially into covers...it's so fun to recognize an old favorite reimagined. And we can find a parallel between covers and our practice - oftentimes, musical covers have the same lyrics and chord progressions as the original, but the tempo and emotion may be completely different. When it comes to our practice, we could come to our mat every day with the same intention, but honor it in a different way each time.
Here are 15 of my most favorite covers...turn the volume all the way up and get your asana on the mat!
